Information about the 2023 thinking assessment exam

In 2023, the TDTD Exam will have a huge adjustment with a new test structure. Exam time is only 150 minutes compared to 270 minutes last year; In which, each section of Mathematical Thinking and Scientific Thinking/Problem Solving is 60 minutes, and Reading Comprehension is 30 minutes.

- Mathematical Thinking test: Assesses the ability to think and apply basic knowledge of Mathematics to solve real-life problems, and also evaluates the ability to learn mathematics and related science subjects. at the candidate's university level. The content of the mathematical thinking test is in the high school curriculum, mainly grades 11 and 12.

- Reading Comprehension Test: Reading comprehension is one of the core competencies, necessary for self-study and lifelong learning. This test focuses on assessing the skills of reading quickly and understanding correctly, along with the ability to analyze and interpret text, generalize, synthesize, argue logically and infer from Vietnamese documents. The reading comprehension content in the exam is diverse and rich, mainly related to topics of science and technology, literature, journalism, etc.

- Scientific Thinking/Problem Solving test: Assesses the ability to apply general knowledge to solve problems in the most reasonable way. The questions are in the form of integrating issues related to the fields of science and technology, economics, engineering...

Exam format: multiple choice, 4 types of questions:

(1) Contest participants: Candidates are high school students, independent candidates.

(2) Scope: Nationwide.

(3) Exam format: Online exam on centralized computers (at the computer rooms of the exam organizer).
