Instructions for converting foreign language certificate points in 2023

I. GENERAL INFORMATION

Starting from March 30, 2023, candidates with an IELTS certificate of 5.0 or higher and participating in the admission test score (according to the results of the High School Graduation Exam and thinking assessment test) can register for the process. Change foreign language certificate at website https://xttn.hust.edu.vn/

• Deadline to register to convert points for Phase 1: from 9:00 a.m. March 30, 2023 to 5:00 p.m. June 30, 2023
• Deadline for registering to convert points for Phase 2: from 9:00 a.m. on July 1, 2023 to 5:00 p.m. on July 20, 2023
• Foreign language certificate expiration: IELTS certificate is required to be valid within two years until June 1, 2023.

In addition to IELTS, candidates can use equivalent foreign language certificates according to the comparison table below:

In addition, Ielts scores are also converted into Bonus Points in the Thinking Assessment test score according to the following formula

Consideration score = GTTD exam score + Priority score (KV, DT) + Bonus score

In there:

+ Priority score: according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, converted to a 100-point scale

+ Bonus points: for candidates with VSTEP foreign language certificate or IELTS international certificate (or equivalent) according to the following table

II. STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Candidates/parents access the website https://xttn.hust.edu.vn/

Note: Only use the Chrome browser on your computer in all steps

Candidates should not use phones, Firefox browsers, Coc Coc or other browsers.... to upload because there may be an error in not displaying the photo, leading to a lack of conversion proof in the account. If the candidate has finished the operation, checks his account again and sees that the photo is clearly displayed and there is an email notification that he was successful.

Step 3: Select Verify and convert foreign language points

Candidates register and complete the steps to declare information on the system. Then select "VALIDATE AND CONVERT FOREIGN LANGUAGE POINTS"

[1] Select the Foreign Language Certificate you want to convert

For example: Candidates choose IELTS

[2] Enter the Certification Code

For IELTS, the code is "Test Report Form Number"

The certification code of the IELTS certificate can be found just below the signature, next to the date of issue

[3] Enter the Certificate Issue Date

(IELTS certificate issuance date is next to the "Text Report Form Number" code, next to the signature. For other certificates, candidates can contact the certificate issuer to ask for information about the issuance date)

[4] Enter Certificate Score

(Certificate conversion points will automatically display in the next box)

[5] Upload proof of IELTS certificate. (Note: The system only accepts image files in .JPEG, .JPG, .PNG format, under 3MB; Do not upload .PDF files)

Select "Save and confirm email" to finish and save the information

* Note: For equivalent converted certificates, candidates will enter the certificate code for each type as follows

 + FOR APTIS CERTIFICATE

APTIS certification code

  + FOR TOELF iBT and Cambridge CERTIFICATE, candidates will enter the certification code box based on User name + Password (for TOELF iBT certificate) and ID number + Password (for Cambridge certificate)

III. TRANSFER OF CERTIFICATE AUTHENTICATION FEE

1/ Subjects: Candidates who have registered to convert foreign language certificate points on the website https://xttn.hust.edu.vn/

2/ 1st installment payment time: From 9:00 a.m. March 30, 2023 to 5:00 p.m. June 30, 2023

3/ 2nd installment payment time: From 9:00 a.m. July 1, 2023 to 5:00 p.m. July 20, 2023

4/ Fees: Fee for authenticating and converting foreign language certificates: 50,000 VND (Fifty thousand VND)

5/ Payment method:

Step 1: Candidates log in to the system https://xttn.hust.edu.vn/

(*) Note: To pay the authentication fee, candidates need to complete the registration of certificate information conversion in the section Verifying and converting foreign language points before.

Step 2: Candidates choose to pay the fee by hovering over their personal avatar image, selecting PAYMENT.

Candidates will see the Unpaid Fees as shown in the photo. To pay the fee, select "Pay".

Step 3: The system will go to the payment page

Candidates can choose 1 of 3 payment methods:

(1) Pay with Foxpay wallet: See instructions for use at foxpay.vn/support. If there is a problem during the payment process, candidates should call Foxpay Wallet Support (19006600) [Or refer to the HERE ]

(2) Payment by Domestic Card (Using a bank's ATM card): If there is a problem during the payment process, candidates call the Napas Service Portal Hotline: 0243 936 1818 [ Refer to more instructions HERE ]

(3) Payment by International Card (Visa, Mastercard Credit Card): If there is a problem during the payment process, candidates call the Napas Service Portal Hotline: 0243 936 1818 [See more instructions HERE]

Step 4: After successful payment and checking that money has been deducted from the account, candidates return to https://xttn.hust.edu.vn/thanhtoan to check the payment status.

The status changes to "Closed" which means the candidate has successfully paid the fee
