Instructions for registering for the 2023 thinking assessment exam

Admission based on the results of the Thinking Assessment exam is one of three regular university admission methods in 2023 (besides the Talent Admission method and Admission based on High School TN exam scores). The exam will be held multiple times throughout the year in the form of multiple-choice tests on computers. Candidates will be issued a certificate of exam results valid for 02 years to register for admission and higher education institutions across the country in need.

I. TIMELINES

(1) Register for the official exam: Register using the link: https://tsa.hust.edu.vn/ from April 10, 2023 through May 10, 2023

(2) Exams:

Phase 1: 10/6/2023,
Phase 2: 17/6/2023,
Phase 3: 08/7/2023.

(3) Exam format: Online exam on centralized computers (at the computer rooms of the exam organizer).

(4) Exam location:

- In Hanoi: Hanoi University of Science and Technology, National Economics University, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, Water Resources University, Banking Academy, University of Transport, Hanoi University of Industry, University of Economics industrial engineering and a number of other higher education institutions.

- In Nghe An: Vinh University.

- In Thanh Hoa: Hong Duc University.

- In Hai Phong: Vietnam Maritime University.

- In Nam Dinh: Nam Dinh University of Technical Education,

- In Hung Yen: Hung Yen University of Technical Education.

- In Thai Nguyen: Center for Testing and Educational Quality Assurance - Thai Nguyen University.

II. STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Note: Candidates use Google's Chrome browser to perform the registration steps (do not use browsers such as Coc Coc, Firefox, Microsoft Edge...)

Step 1: Candidates access the website: https://tsa.hust.edu.vn/ to register/log in to their account.

At the first access, candidates select "Register now", or if they already have an account, choose to enter Email and Password to log in to the system.

Candidates enter Full Name, Email, Phone Number and the same Password twice to register normally.

After selecting "Register", the system will send an email to the mailbox the candidate has filled in above to perform the job of Verifying the successfully registered email.

Step 2: Exam registration

After logging in to their account, candidates select "Register for exam", choose to in the section "Thinking Assessment Test - TSA 2023".

Step 3: Candidates are transferred through a 4 step registration screen.

[1] Select profile (Create profile, declare personal information)

Note:

- Candidates registering for the first time on the system must declare their personal information. The information can only be declared once and can be updated and edited (Except email address). In case candidates have previously created a profile. records in previous practice tests, the system will automatically update the data.

- Uploaded file names are in Vietnamese with no accents or spaces. For example: abc, 1, 2, 3. Do not name it "Avatar image", or "nguyen van x" as it will cause an error when uploaded.
- File size under 2 MB (to reduce file size, the simplest way is for candidates to upload photos to Facebook, download them back to their computer, and then upload them)

Candidates upload a photo according to the form, this photo will be used to make the exam card and check when admitted (Card photo size 3x4)

Candidates enter personal information accurately according to the instructions on the system (Note to check CCCD information). The phone number is a regular contact number (can be the candidate's or parent's number).

* Be careful when filling in your permanent address and contact address

1. If you have selected Ward/Commune in the box above, you do not need to re-enter the Ward/Commune name in the House number and street name boxes.
2. If you select Other in the Ward/Commune box, you must enter the Ward/Commune name in the House number and street name box.
3. This address is used to send exam admission notices, score cards and contact when necessary.

In the subject section, candidates will select the correct information according to the grade level they are studying

Candidates graduating this year will choose "Grade 12" as the Subject, candidates graduating before 2023 will choose "Free Candidates"

The 2023 thinking exam will be divided into 3 rounds, candidates can choose one or more rounds.

After selecting the exam session, candidates proceed to check the information and read the exam regulations at the "Confirm information" step.

Pay: Candidates choose to pay using the "Online payment" method to complete the registration process.

*Note: During the payment process, do not close the browser you are registering and need to pay the fee before May 10, 2023 to complete the exam application.

► With online payment method, candidates can use 1 of 3 methods:

(If the bank card has an error and cannot make transactions, the reason may be because the account has not registered for SMS banking to receive the OTP code or the phone number to receive the OTP is a different number, candidates should contact the Hotline of the issuing bank. card for support)

[4] Complete registration

After candidates complete information registration and payment, the system automatically returns to the website tsa.hust.edu.vn with the screen "Step 4. Complete registration" as shown below.

To check the details of the exam plan, candidates can select "Waiting for procedures" and select "View plan"

(*) Edit declared information

Candidates edit the personal information they have declared or change their password by accessing the "Account" section, and choosing to edit the declared Contest Profile. Candidates can update information multiple times. The system bases the last edit as the candidate's official personal information.
