In 2023, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will have 3 new admission codes: Microelectronics and Nanotechnology (MS2) and Polymer and Composite Materials Technology (MS3) and Advanced Program in Biological Engineering (lecturing taught in English) (BF-E19).

One adjustment point in the 2023 admission project: no academic transcript requirements will be applied to candidates admitted based on test scores (high school transcript, DGTD).

Hanoi University of Science and Technology will announce the score threshold for receiving admission applications after the results of the high school exam and GTTD exam are available.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology also notes that for candidates registering for programs taught in English, in addition to the necessary conditions (according to admission methods), candidates need to have one of the following qualifications: English level as follows: VSTEP English certificate level B1 or higher, IELTS (academic) 5.0 or higher or equivalent; or The 2023 high school graduation exam score in English meets the requirements of Hanoi University of Science and Technology (will be announced later).

In 2023, all admission majors/programs will use the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores. As for the admission method based on GTTD test scores, it does not apply to English Language majors.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology will organize 3 rounds of Thinking Assessment exams on June 10, June 17 and July 8, 2023 at 9 exam clusters: Hanoi (10 universities and institutes); Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Thanh Hoa, Vinh, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Da Nang.

By the end of May 2023, the total number of candidates registered to take the Thinking Assessment exam is 10,211 (with 19,225 exams). 32 higher education institutions will use the results of the GTTD Exam for admission.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology has decided to switch from the traditional exam format (paper exam, multiple choice exam + essay) in previous years to an online exam on computers at the computer labs of the exam organization. Multiple choice exam format with many types of questions: Choose the correct option; Choose true or false answer; Fill in the answer; Drag/drop answers. The TDTD test has been adjusted to be more compact (150 minutes), with 3 parts: Mathematical thinking (60 minutes), Reading comprehension (30 minutes) and Scientific thinking/problem solving (60 minutes). . The question is designed according to a thinking scale with 3 levels: Level 1 - Representational thinking; Level 2 – Deductive thinking; Level 3 – Higher order thinking.

Preparations for holding the exam have been completed. Through the test organizations (February 25, April 2, May 13 and May 21) along with the online exam on April 9, 2023, Hanoi University of Science and Technology has standardized the exam organization process. , ensuring safety, security and confidentiality in accordance with regulations.
