On April 13, Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) announced the results of the mock test of the thinking assessment test. This is an exam organized by the school online on April 9, helping candidates become familiar with the structure and testing method of the 2023 exam.

According to Associate Professor. Vu Duy Hai, Deputy Head of Admissions Department of Hanoi University of Science and Technology, the number of candidates who answered 60-70 questions correctly accounted for the highest proportion.

According to statistics through the system, nearly 6,000 candidates participated in the test with all 3 parts. Analysis of the results shows that the overall test is of good quality, highly reliable, and covers all the requirements for the set goals.

The score spectrum is bell-shaped with the peak at about 6-6.5 points, demonstrating high classification for university admission.

In the golden table of exam results, there are 3 candidates with the highest score with a score of 93/100 questions. In particular, the test had four candidates achieving a perfect score in the mathematical thinking section and one candidate achieving a perfect score in the reading comprehension section.

Based on the test results of candidates, the system analyzed the distribution chart of candidates' thinking ability, the test score spectrum (number of correct answers not weighted) according to 3 test parts as follows. :

The practice test of Hanoi University of Science and Technology's thinking assessment test is designed to illustrate the structure and content of a real test, including 3 parts: Mathematical thinking, reading comprehension thinking, scientific thinking/ problem solving.

In particular, the mathematical thinking test includes 40 multiple-choice questions (60 minutes); The reading comprehension test includes 20 multiple-choice questions (30 minutes); The scientific thinking/problem solving section includes 40 multiple-choice questions (60 minutes). Candidates take turns taking each exam in accordance with the prescribed time frame with a total duration of 150 minutes.

The Admissions Council for the thinking assessment exam said that it will continue to open the trial test system so candidates can experience and review the test at home until the end of April.

With the above scores, Associate Professor. Tran Trung Kien - Head of Hanoi University of Science and Technology's Admissions Department, said that the exam is not as difficult as many people think because most candidates can complete the exam with good scores.

With adjustments to the content of this year's exam, the thinking assessment is suitable for many types of students so that they can confidently use the results of the entrance exam to enter their desired university.

According to the project to organize the 2023 competency assessment exam, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will hold the official exam in 3 times on June 10, June 17 and July 8.

The exam is expected to be held in provinces/cities such as Hanoi, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong, Nam Dinh, Hung Yen, Thai Nguyen, Da Nang.

From 9:00 a.m. on April 10, 2023, the exam registration system officially opened and to date has recorded more than 10,000 registrations on the home page.

According to the list from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, there are currently more than 30 other universities in the country that will use the results of this exam for university admission in 2023.
