The Hanoi University of Science and Technology Admissions Council has just officially announced the level of thinking assessment, question types and illustrative examples of the 2023 Thinking Assessment Test on January 17.

The thinking assessment test includes 3 parts: Mathematical Thinking, Reading Comprehension and Scientific Thinking/Problem Solving with 3 levels of thinking assessment (representational thinking, deductive thinking and thinking). high level thinking). The questions are built in multiple choice form with 4 types of structure: choose correct answer, true/false, drag and drop and short answer.

Illustrative examples are published with the purpose of helping candidates become familiar with the structure and type of questions of the test, orienting their review and creating confidence for candidates taking the exam.

The Thinking Assessment exam is expected to be held in 3 rounds in May, June and July 2023, creating conditions for candidates to choose the best results to register for university admission.

Unlike other exams, Thinking Assessment does not focus on testing knowledge, so it does not require candidates to spend a lot of time reviewing, because thinking training has been formed throughout the learning process. Thinking assessment is expected to become one of the common entrance exams of the university community in Vietnam in the future.

The 2023 Thinking Assessment exam has many bright spots, convenient for students' test-taking process. The test is compact (150 minutes duration) and organized in the form of a computer-based multiple choice test. College admission majors can use the results of the Expanded Thinking Assessment Test, including science and technology, economics, engineering, industry, agriculture, finance, banking, and medicine.

This year's exam will be held in many rounds, in many locations, and there is no limit to the number of subjects or number of entries. Participating candidates will be issued a certificate of exam results valid for 2 years and can use this score to apply for admission to any University that accepts these results.
