Undergraduate programs

Requirement

Applicants must fully satisfy the following conditions:

1) Possession of a high school diploma or a certificate of completion of upper secondary education;

2) Possession of one (01) valid international qualification: SAT, ACT, A-Level, AP, or IB;

3) Applicants applying for English-taught programs must have a valid IELTS score of at least 5.5 or an equivalent English proficiency certificate;

4) Applicants applying for Vietnamese-taught programs must possess a valid Vietnamese language certificate at level B2 or higher;

5) Proof of sufficient financial capacity to cover tuition fees and living expenses during the period of study at HUST.

Application Dossier

1) Application form (as prescribed in the Appendix, Download here);

2) Copy of high school diploma or certificate of completion of upper secondary education;

3) Copy of international qualification (SAT/ACT/A-Level/AP/IB);

4) Copy of English or Vietnamese language certificate;

5) Curriculum vitae;

6) Copy of passport valid for at least six (06) months;

7) Proof of financial capacity via bank statement or sponsorship letter with a minimum value equivalent to USD 20,000 (Twenty thousand US dollars);

8) Criminal record certificate or letter of reference issued by the Embassy of the applicant’s nationality.

Admission Method

Admission is based on the applicant’s Application Score, calculated according to HUST’s Talent-Based Admission Regulations in effect at the time of application, on a 100-point scale.

The Application Score includes: Converted score [International qualification (SAT/ACT/A-Level/AP/IB) + bonus points for English proficiency certificates (IELTS or equivalent as regulated by HUST)] + International Priority Points. International Priority Points are stipulated as follows: 20 points for foreign nationals; 10 points for Vietnamese citizens residing and studying abroad.

The admission benchmark for each program shall be determined based on the admission cutoff score of that program in the preceding year. Applicants whose Application Score is equal to or higher than the previous year’s cutoff score shall be considered eligible for admission.
