HUST is a top university in engineering and technology as well as one of the largest research and technology tranfer centers in Vietnam. The university is also a member of Asia-Oceania Top University League on Engineering (AOTULE) Association.

The university has invested in modern and convenient facilities for teaching and doing research. 80% of its lecture halls are equipped with large capacity air conditioning systems and modern projectors to  providing the best learning environment for students. The laboratory systems are  fully equipped with modern   instrumentation.

With the largest total area among the universities in the inner city of Ha Noi, the university has a wholesome learning environment and clean campus , providing  a friendly and open students’ life. The life of boarders is well servedwith spacious and clean dormitory along with football, volleyball and basketball yards, etc.. Moreover, HUST  also enjoys a system of facilities for sport – cultural activities  on and off campus   including a stadium that meet international standards, swimming pools, tennis courts, gymnasiums that are regularly chosen as  a venue to hold city and national-scale events.

A system of 400 classrooms and laboratories including 12 key and focused investment laboratories, serving effectively training and researching activities; 8 national and equivalent key laboratories; and about 20 workshops for  practicums.

The entire lecture halls are well-equipped with air-conditioners and teaching facilities along with free on- campus wifi .

II. BUILDINGS – TA QUANG BUU LIBRARY

 

The entire lecture halls are well-equipped with air-conditioners and teaching facilities along with free on-campus wifi . W ith the area of 37.000 m2,Ta Quang Buu Library can simultaneously serve 2.000 students with 600.000 books, and 130.000 e-books. Students have free access to the database from sources such as Science Direct, Scopus, etc..

Ta Quang Buu – the largest and modernest library – has a large meeting hall (10th floor) with the capacity  to accommodate thousands of people.

The total area of the university’s usable land: 252.857,8 m2 including 15.252 m2 for offices, 78.846 m2 for lecture halls and classrooms, 29.321 m2 for entertainment places, 1 terrace house for student clubs with 350 seats equipped with modern acoustic system and 1 Healthcare Centre operating under the model of general clinic for checking up university’s staff and students health regularly.

 

III. ACCOMMODATIONS

 

The university’s spacious dormitary has 420 rooms which can accommodate up to 4,500 students.

6. IV. FACILITIES – WORKOUT

Well-equipped and modern facility systems support physical education and students’ sports movement with one  national-standard stadium, swimming pool, tennis court, and one multi-purpose  gymnasium that meets Southeast Asia standard, etc.. The sports complex has an area of 20,000m2 with a modern facility system, including national standardized football pitch, swimming pool, tennis court , and a  multi-purpose gymnasium  that meets Southeast Asia standard.

1. The stadium’s area is 18,000m2 including 2 stands A – B with the capacity of up to 7,000 people, 1 football pitch, 3 volleyball courts, 1 basketball yard, 1 exercise area and 1 athletics track (for 100m and 1500m running, jumping, shot-put, javelin throw, etc.). Besides, there  is a high pressure lamp system for evening practice and  1 sport equipment room under the stands A – B.

HUST has a national-standard  football pitch, a Southeast Asia-standard multi-purpose gymnasium.

2. Swimming pool and tennis court: 4,800m2

- The   25x50m swimming pool  is equipped with a water circulation system. There is a stand with the capacity of 500 people.

- Tennis court: 1 national standardized court.

3. Gymnasiums: 4,800m2

The multi-purpose gymnasium has 2 stands A – B with the capacity of up to 1,258 people  It is equipped with modern information system, air-conditioning systems sport equipment rooms and offices for students’ sprots events  as well as international ones .

4. Workout area in dorm: 4,000m2

There are basketball yards, 1  gymnastics area and 2 7-a-side football pitches.
